Today is all about orange and yellow. It looks like spring finally has arrived to Stockholm and to my studio with the daffodils in full blossom. My neon orange letterpress printed greeting card has found some happy and bright friends!
125g butter 1 ½ cup light syrup 1 ½ cup cream 6 cups sugar 11-12 cups flour 2 tablespoons of baking soda 4 tsp ginger 2 tsp cinnamon 2 teaspoon ground cloves
Divide the butter into small pieces, add sugar and syrup and run until smooth. Add cream and flour mixed with bicarbonate and spices. Knead the dough by hand or use a kitchen assistant. Mix thoroughly.
The dough should rest in the fridge overnight.
Preheat the oven to 150 degrees.
Roll the dough. The thinner the dough you can manage the crispier the cookies will get.
Experiment with different cookie shapes and/or make your own.
Bake the cookies in the oven on a baking sheet for about 5-8 minutes (depending on the thickness of the cookies and the oven).
